New London, Wisconsin | Northwest Mutual has a good reputation, however they make the money selling whole life policies instead of term. I personally buy term only. I did have a whole life policy with them long ago and eventually cashed it in using term and other assets to offset it. My agent and I disagreed on the wisdom of this, but all the financial advisors were on my side of the fence. As always your financial milage may vary.
In the end, what makes you happy is all that matters. If you are happy now, altho busy, that may be better or even a lot better than the insurance business. A common theme for those new to insurance sales is to sell all you can to friends and relatives as you learn to sell to the rest of the world. The company profits from those who only get this far and has a long line of applicants wanting to give it a try. All in all I'd be tempted to keep what you have now.
