One downside I see for these type cows using the Longrange wormer is it has a 48 day slaughter withdrawal. From time to time seems an old cow will just start to waste away and need to be sold right away to salvage what you can and having wormer, vaccine or antibiotic residue can complicate the situation.

Can get cubes and blocks with safegard wormer in them that eliminate the need to pen for worming. Maybe use the cubes a few weeks after using the injectible wormers for a followup. Wouldn't hurt to use both an injectable and a white oral paste at purchase and followup with cubes later if warranted.

Might want to get fecal counts both before and after processing. Should give a better picture of what you may be dealing with.
