| My understanding is that propane's problem is that it's out of position, not out of supply. My opinion is that years of reduced usage put retailers in this position. A fairly big drying season followed by a cold winter drew down what had been sufficient local stocks pretty quickly and created this 'crisis'. It's a lot like saying 'OMG I have no twinkies!!' at my house and no amount of money paid to my family, cats, dog or bunny would get me a twinkie. However, 4 miles away there is a more than adequate supply at typical prices.
I guess all we can hope for is that some 'squirrel event' gets speculators looking a different direction.
