| To further complicate things USDA was still claiming 97.4M planted acres in August. That was when they raised the planted from the intentions of 97.3M in March. It was obvious by that time we had lost acres.
FSA claims 3.6M prevented plant corn acres but that number is likely inflated with higher claim amounts being on corn PP. I would almost guess that number to be less than half of the 3.6M if you use the reasoning that guys found dirt to put the corn in but waited for the wet piece to dry to plant the beans.
Really I only believe intentions were in the 96M range. | |
