The real truth is that the elevator is screwing the landlord over on the price of the fertilizer so that they can pass that on to the renter and be competitive enough to get the renters business so he doesn't go somewhere else. The renter knows damn well it is happening but hopes the landlord doesn't find out. That elevator billed it that way in order to get the business, pure and simple.
