E.Central MN | IDK, around here the birds survived the winter in adequate numbers, but saw very few broods while cutting hay during the summer. Bad weather at nesting/hatching time and high predator numbers probably played a role. The decline in numbers is spread across a very wide area which tells me that something else was the cause, could it have been the reduction in CRP acres, maybe, but why were numbers also low near CRP locations? Getting tired of getting the blame for everything. If pheasant numbers are low then don't hunt, seems like a pretty simple action to me. | |
