I understand now...    I hate dusting wheat in but have been surprised a few times.  Last year (12') we only got 6 1/2 inch precip all year!!! and still managed to raise a crop.    Having no surface moisture to sprout is sometimes better than just having enough to get it going then run out of steam. 

      Problem is wheat has 9 lives and the traders know that these days...

        Glad you had a good corn crop don't know what a guy's to do, lock the bin is an option but bills still have to be paid.  
Ol'  Houdini Ray seems to know how to pick them locks when he needs it though, so I'm not sure thats the answer completely.

I think were gonna find out who the low cost producers in pretty short order...
