Southeast Colorado | Not that this really matters but my silver spoon 23 year old daughter who now works for the local grain company is currently working 7 days a week 13 hours a day. She is the only one operating the office so she eats lunch on the move and has to ask the customer's permission to take a bathroom break. She takes care of the trucks coming in (50-150 a day) as well as taking care of customers buying merchandise out of the store. This schedule will go on for about 2 full months at least and she is already 3 weeks into it. The only chance she has of any time off is on the weekend if we happen to get any moisture to halt harvest. I think she is building character right now and is actually complaining very little. Kind of makes me feel like quite the LOAFER out here on the farm! EDIT: By the way, she is enjoying the 51 hours of weekly overtime.............and with no time to spend it is building up a pretty good stash!
