SC Iowa
We unloaded 390+ trucks today, and that is a fairly normal number for us...

did not expect this level of harvest activity so soon, as we had purchased fair amount of old crop corn to run the plant this week, so we are actually building stocks quickly and not far from a plug by Friday night......but things will change some next week as the dry old crop supply shrinks, so we quite content managing what may seem like too much corn for a couple of days....

quality is good....no aflatoxin so far.....test weight running 55+ average at 22+ moisture on the entire book of wet corn coming in...considering the corn has not been mature all that long, expect TW to pick up 1-2 pounds by end of month, maybe more

yes, we running moisture discount special and taking corn up to 28%

normal is 1% of contract price per half point with no shrink

right now we running at 1/2% per half with no shrink

likely go to 3/4% per half point in another 10 days and leave it there during harvest...
