Subject: RE: drill bit sharpeners

South Georgia
I bought a drill doctor probably ten years ago. If it hadn't come with a video, I doubt I'd have ever learned to use it correctly. I tried it just based on the written instructions, but couldn't make any progress. After watching the video, though, I do a pretty good consistent job on small bits up to 1/2". I bought the bigger chuck for it so that I could sharpen bits up to 3/4", and have very mixed success with it. I'm not sure why, but I just can't reliably get them sharp.

It's not perfect, but I'm glad I have mine and would buy again.
