Subject: RE: Liquidation and PRRS

Masonville, Iowa
I worked in 2650 sow unit one summer ('95) near New Ulm. It was a start-up. I can't remember the unit number but I'm thinking C-11 or C-12. The joys of not having an office and having to shower in the hallway between farrowing and gestation. I lived just outside of St. James and got shuffled around sow units quite a bit. I really enjoyed the area (spent way too much of my paycheck in the bar in Comfrey!) In large units, the personnel are what make the work fun or not. I've been in both and production is definitely an indicator of how much the employees enjoy working together.
