| I have a neighbor who farrowed hogs for over 40 years. Survived the $9/ct weight a few years back. Has sold out his entire herd and is going to contract raise gilts for another operation.
Refuses to feed 4.00 corn to sows. Says it just doesn't cash flow. I think like a lot of things, it's going to the BTO or nothing. Have a lot of contrct finishing barns in this are with hogs coming from Michigan and N. carolina.
