Subject: is front wheel assist a plus when using auto-steer tractor?

Eastern Iowa
we are researching the idea of getting an auto-steer package, probably a Trimble AutoPilot. One tractor would have to be replaced with something newer that they have a platform for. My question is, if we upgrade to something newer, does front wheel assist make a noticable difference in the performance of the auto-steer? We don't currently have any mounted equipment but I wouldn't rule out a mounted planter in the future. All heavy field work would be done with the four wheel drive tractor so we are not going to be trying to steer anything like a ripper with this tracotr. As a side question, red, green, and blue are all an option to upgrade to. Are there any specific tractors (new and used) that for whatever reason just haven't worked well with a Trimble system and on the flip side, any that work like a dream?
