Ridgway, IL | I have got some gluten from Decatur, it's fairly consistent at about 50% moisture. Occasionally you get a load that almost seems dry or a load that is a little soupy.... But for the most part it averages out to 50%. I'm running 35% of my ration as gluten...it's a real cost saver.
You can cut out other protein supplementation and also replace some of your corn.
On the heifers I have, I'm giving them ralgro every 70-90 days, so as 5wts they will get 3 ralgros. They're only 1.50 a piece I think. Next time I'm going to do somthing different for implants... As bringing them in every 70 day is a pain and I think hard on cattle when it's hot. I've heard of guys using rev xs on heifers... I like the simplicity of the xs so I'm gonna investigate that some more | |
