Saronville NE | Hw365 here also, 1800-2000 head RPM and 1900 engine RPM in alfalfa, grass depends if good heavy grass or short fine stuff, if heavy same as alfalfa or faster head speed maybe 2100 or so, if fine, 1600-1800 head, the little cane weve done this year was 7-8 ft tall, ran engine wide open and head at 2600 rpm. Rye and tritcale this spring, ran motor at 1900 and head at 2400. IDK we always used to run engine wide open on other SP disc mowers and I kept getting told on here that was wrong, IDK if it is or not, but does help the fuel consumption a bit, but is slower ground speed that way, but maybe that will help save drivetrain some too. | |
