| Sorry for the confusion, it is 13mph after I looked into it. I remember the news said something about 13 mph over, maybe that was the average speed of the folks that got a ticket. As for the red light cameras, I have no clue, but I can say I live in Ames, just 30 minutes north of Des Moines and I have no clue where the cameras are and in my normal driving I have never gotten a ticket in the mail.
Either way, the area is pretty nice, that west side of town is getting a ton of development but it's not so bad and there are a lot of nicer places to live over there. I lived on the NE side of Des Moines the first year I was married, up by the Firestone plant and I will never again live in that area again... | |
