Subject: Re: forage sorghum

North Central Kansas
Drilled in narrow rows seems best in our area. If your intention is to swath and bale it, drill with as narrow spacing as possible, and get over 300,000 seeds per acre. Depending on seed size that's about 20 pounds of seed. If 15 inch rows is all you have to work with, it would be ok. Just guessing this is on some prevent plant acres. Forage sorghum in 30 inch rows would be chopped for silage.
