Does anyone have a ration and experience fattening lambs? We buy feeder lambs 50-75 # and fatten then to market weight. we hand feed grain and supplemment and supplement hay on the side. we have some challenges with asidoses at times. Is there any good grain roughage rations that we could use to prevent this problem. we ussally start with 1.5 # whole corn .5# sheep Balancer B136 .25# dehy plus hay on the side. Then work them up to full feed of corn of 3 # in a 4 week period.

Are you able to turn a profit doing this? I have been considering this but most people i talked to claimed there where no profit in feeding lambs anymore .
