Subject: RE: Fattening feeder lambs

The rations that I've fed for the last 5 years come from a local mill. That mill has done a good job of being creative on rations even before it was the in thing so to speak. These rations rely on midds more than I would like, but they help boost the protein with out adding much DDGS to the total overal ration. I think I've had one case of urinary calculi in five years and no cases of polio that I know of. Let me know if you have any questions!

Here's what the 15.5 % protein ration I'm feeding looks like on a per ton basis:
Corn 50#
DDGS 260#
Hulls 728#
Midds 899#
Lime 39#
Salt 10#
Amm Chlor 10#
bovatec91 .33#
Selenium 600 1#
vitamin/trace mineral premix 2.06# (adjust this according to what ever is available)

Later in the finishing period I'll use this ration with a little more corn (15% protein):

Corn 424#
DDGS 260#
Hulls 500#
Midds 755#
Lime 37#
Salt 10#
Amm Chlor 10#
bovatec91 .33#
Selenium 600 1#
vitamin/trace mineral premix 2.06# (adjust this according to what ever is available)
