Couldn't you go for a slightly smaller but newer tractor like a JD 6400 or even 7200? It doesn't take 100 hp to pull an eight row planter and both these tractors would be great loader tractors. Doesn't have to be JD, plenty of Fords and Case IH tractors out there are well. I used to have a Case 2290 and the comfort and lighting is alot better on the newer tractors. 2290 is just like a 2090 and they are expensive when they break.
