Good post, that's just what I was thinking. I've used the 66 & 86 series IH with loaders and wouldn't recommend that tractor to anyone for that job, mainly because of the transmission. But, it can be kind of handy having the shifter and hydraulics on seperate sides so you can do two steps at once.
