Subject: Re: petroleum pipeline danger

In the early 80's Phillips came and reburied a line running across one of our fields. It had heaved up to within 12" of the top of the ground.

I saw a pipeline burst/explode in 2001. I was standing outside talking on the phone when a huge ball of fire lit up the sky just right after sunset. The propane pipeline burst 15 miles away and burned for 1 hour before the pipeline Co. got the valves closed. Quite a sight but no one was hurt. Houses close to the explosion shook pretty good with some minor damage. Nothing I'd care to witness again....
