NW Central Ohio | ...if you're losing oil...and it's coming out the stack, it could be about 3 things. EGR valve is stuck leading to excessive exhaust gas pressure and oil being pushed past the valve seals down the exhaust valve. Broken ring or piston, allowing oil to come from the cylinder. Or the seal in the exhaust side of the turbo. Check the EGR valve first, take the exhaust manifold off second, and see if one port is wet, either way, you probably need to re-machine the mating surfaces on the exhaust manifold to replace the turbo. Get the head side for it done at the same time. If none of the ports are wet...replace your turbo. | |
