Missouri | Any can fail. The best failsafe is redundancy. For example, when I download a display, it goes immediately to the computer where another copy is made. I don't know about other displays, but with Ag Leader, the downloaded data is not deleted from the box for 30 days. I have that much of a window to go and re-download it, if a usb stick fails, or more likely, gets lost, or even more likely, gets into the washing machine.
FWIW, I have recovered a usb stick lost over two months, from the drain screen of the clothes washer, and still been able to access the files, but I'm not counting on that happening next time. | |
