You need to check very carefully with your insurance agent. Taking a hay cutting is considered a crop and you may not be allowed to insure your corn as a second crop in one year. We ran into this a couple of years ago where our beans following a hay cutting couldnt be insured. Had we done anything to the field but bale or harvested it we would have been good to go.
