Are you less then 2% organic matter or cec? I farm some of the sandiest lowest cec soils I have ever heard of. And my lowest cec is 4. If I ever put 225 units of n down preplant I would lose at least 3/4 of it. Soils with a 2 CEC would look very similar to the sand at the beach.
