WC MN | 1. RR Valley Decent yields, beets, peas, corn and beans.
2. South Western MN Great yields, Corn, Corn, Peas, Sweet Corn, Beets. Land is getting out of hand. 5 years ago a guy could buy a 1/4 for $560k You couldn't touch it for triple that today.
3. South Eastern SD
I am kind of in between. I farm here because it's "home" and not my primary occupation. Everything where I am at is more expensive. Fertilizer, fuel, equipment. It's really kind of a joke because we don't make the grain yields like they do an hour south of us. Anyways, not complaining but the grass IS always greener. | |
