I live about 25 miles north of Corning Ark. and we apply 100# urea/Agrotain to finish our corn off at Pretassel. Many wait to late and let tassels start to show and your N uptake is already going way down. In our case, most of our soils have CEC's less than 10 and we furrow irrigate/flood as many of you say, and I believe it really helps to spread out our N loss risk as well as finish out our crop! Planes do big business around here, not very many hiboys!
