Subject: RE: Grain Sorghum Seeding Rates

South Texas
This coastal bend area grows a lot of milo, but does it a little differently than a lot of other areas i guess. Most around here plant 60-75,000, trying to get a crop in and out quickly. We don't want a tiller, a sucker, or any other kind of head that would mature later. Will never see a freeze to kill it, and tropical storms (we could only hope) like to show up in the summertime. Oh yea, shooting for 5,000 lbs yield on the good years. Sometimes over that, most time under.
