When I speak of cover crops here or anywhere, I am talking benefit from my own investment. Government rules and regs is another ballgame.
The benefits are bigger than any government program from my viewpoint.
I thought I had soil chemistry figured out well enough for me but soil biology is much bigger. You've read me say the best thing I have done to this farm is plant another crop the day I harvest one.
I don't need to the government's help to farm better but since they want to be in that business that is what they should be working with. No wonder so many farmers don't want any government intervention.
