Phillips Co NW Kansas | Neat video. Always wondered why the belts were so long and had so much slack in them. This is an era of machinery I am not familiar with because I guess my age and living in town most of my life. I went to work on the farm when I was nine in 1989 and things like this weren't used. We have a club around here called the SPPA(Sunflower Pioneer Power Assoc) and they have a show every year that they use this kind of machinery and tractors. I like the saw mill that they have set up. I would bet the poster above would have a coronary about that saw running.
BTW I really didn't see anything wrong with stepping over the belt. Looked like it was only about a foot off the ground or less. If you were stepping over a PTO shaft with no shield that may not be very safe. | |
