Subject: Mold in basment

We have family situation where my inlaws basement was flooded several years ago. They gutted the basement and replaced dry wall and carpet. Some visitng members of the family seem to not feel well after visiting in this house lately. They have allergies to mold and react when in this house. An expert was called in and measured high levels of spores. The expert says there are high levels in hollow doors that were not replaced. Also in several other areas of the basement. Cost to fix damage is estimated at between $15,000 to $40,000 depending on how far you go. I tend to be conservative in spending but it seems that this is warranted. My inlaws can afford the repairs. Yes, it is a very nice home. Family members do not have experience with this and are having a hard time with the decision. Any thoughts and help are appreciated.
