Osakis, MN | Looking at it in a long term investment, it's really hard not to go with real hardwood flooring. We added on last spring and that time I resanded all our main floor oak flooring, it's almost 100 years old and it still looks great! I still think you'd be money ahead in twenty years with a real nail down solid wood floor, vs. a floating laminate. Especially in a kitchen environment, I've seen and heard of several floating wood floors getting ruined by leaky dishwashers, sinks ice makers etc. The previous comment about the beveled edges on prefinished flooring and the time it takes to sand all the old finish off if it's ever refinished is a great comment! | |
