I have never operated a vertical, but would wonder why not tub grind the hay if loader is already there and save on fuel and mixer cost. I remember when I started feeding cattle with a Farm Aid ribbon mixer for weighing and mixing and then unloading back into a bunk auger. We were able to run the 340 bu mixer with a used 10 hp elec motor just fine, when I ripped out the auger system and went to fenceline we slapped a pto on it, hooked to 4020 and were in business, so point being why not save the fuel and eliminate the repair scare?
