Subject: RE: new air drills

Good to see CNH finally bring that drill to the market. They hauled the original prototype to our farm 3 falls ago for testing; it was based on the FC 5000 design. Initially it was going to be released the following summer. It was an impressive unit to see operate and fold, there is some very clever engineering if you take the time to inspect it closely. Is the hitch for a tow behind cart rigid or can it steer the cart?

The drill lifts 1/2 of the drill at a time to minimize negative tongue weight. Seemed to flex well over terraces. Maybe not as well as a 45' FC5000, but definitely better than the larger FC5000 drills with 8'&9' frame sections. Storage and transport should be a real plus. There are places we just can't take our 57' 50000.
