on field gates we weld a 11/2inch pipe on the end of a 6 pipe continous 20FT panel-lots of times we just wire them as the continous panels are lite-they look good and 2 make a 40ft entrance-I think the 6 pipe 20ft cost $89-I cant buy the pipe that cheap-let alone weld it
