If deere is so good, why are they afraid to put a 2 year warranty on the balers?  They have a good product, but I have yet to see one run and keep up with me with a SM.  I run them for 2 years with aprox. 200000 bales when the warranty is about up.  Dealer support is another reason that I like Vermeer.  Hay and cornstalks are in the offseason for most dealers and shut the doors at 5:30.  My farmer/Vermeer dealer is around everyday and night except Sunday.  If he doesn't have something that I need, he gives me a baler or a part off of the baler sitting on the lot.



In jest.... you don't need a warranty if it don't break down:) I agree though, the jd dealers around where I'm at would rather not deal with hay and forage products if they had a choice. Way more row crops that livestock in our area. I'm not too up on warranties on anything as I can't afford anything new enough to still have any left, but I see your point.
