Subject: Re: EZG 500 firmware upload problem update

Near Intersection of I-35 & I-90 Southern Mn.
I have not had problems with EZG 500 updates but then again I haven't done any with the Cruzer Jumpdrives.

I have concluded that not all Jumpdrives are completely compatible in all situations. I have some of those MP3 FM Modulators for music. These devices really work quite well in many situations.

The first model that I purchased had a USB slot in which a Jumpdrive could be utilized. I successfully used a variety of Jumpdrives from generics to Lexars with good success. I believe some other users had problems when the Jumpdrive was larger than 1 meg. I have not attempted Jumpdrives of that size.

This company (VR3) came out with a new model that contained both a USB slot and also a slot for an SD card. Since my camera uses an SD card and they are very reasonable in price I bought one of those models also. I found that the SD card slot worked well and as expected. When I tried one of the Jumpdrives that works well with the previous model, it was not accepted.

I tried some of the other Jumpdrives that I use successfully with the old model. Only one of the several that I tried was acceptable. This particular Jumpdrive worked fine but the others would not. All of the Jumpdrives worked fine with the old model. Curiously the one that did work was very generic and didn't even have a brand name on it.

I use the Jumpdrives occasionally for data transfer and have not had any data loss problems. Judging from some other's experiences, it appears that one should be careful when doing this.
