It isn't an easy situation for sure. My wife's "know it all" uncle has been the burr under my saddle for 28 years now. It's always difficult to ignore him but thankfully his doctor wife is on call so he won't be at Christmas this year.
All I can say is suck it up and ignore him. That's what I do with uncle know it all.....
