remove zerks and try to dig as much old grease out as you can and fill grease gun with wd 40 or free all and try to pump that in and if that goes switch to motor oil and then to grease .
has worked for me in the past.

I've used a similar method with good success. If you can take the fitting out and have the hole pointing up, fill it with penetrating oil and let it sit overnight and put the fitting back in the morning and it'll usually go.
I bought an old dozer that had been sitting for a long time and almost every zerk was jammed. I ended up buying something called a KD Tools RAMO-MATIC which you can fill with oil or grease, put it on a zerk and whack with a hammer. Kind of a handy little thing to have around. That and a good lever-type grease gun with a new tip. |
