Northwest Iowa | What kind of gain can you get on them? They may be worth more finished then bred with less labor invested. What are you set up for? What feeds do you have available? Can you finish them in 18 months rather then breed and calve them in at 22 - 24 months? Do you have a fat market available? If beef numbers are down, this may be a way to keep 500 head of milkers from comeing on line. | |
