| Yeah, we have an L & H. The first one lasted at least 30 years, just have to replace plugs every now and then. Also, the hair has to be dry. Keep a curry comb handy to knock any surface dirt off before you start, and a wire brush to keep the ashes off the iron. Dad used a hot iron before the electric one came along, not nearly as consistent or trouble free. You'll like the electric one.
