nebraska | Coyotes here in northeast nebraska do not really run deer but do help keep the population down. They go after the fawns in the spring people would be surprised how many they actually get. Coyotes here are getting thicker and so far there is no hunting of them on our land either but there has to be checks and balance to this. We have never had problems with coyotes getting calves as long as the mother cow can get to her calf and it is not on the other side of the fence. Have watched coyotes go right through the middle of our herd. That being said they are not running in big packs here like they do out west. I do know our numbers are coming up so maybe one of these days they will be to thick also . | |
