N/C Montana | The guy that took this picture was in my back seat. Escorted him half way to Elemendorf after an airshow at Paine Field in 1990. Guy was bad hungover, wx was terrible leaving Seattle (300 foot ceiling) and all the magic beeps and squeaks- radar etc had been pulled out of his jet to come to the states. Some how the liason that came with him got clearance for an unrestricted climb on departure to above the wx(30,000'). Airspace over Seattle in the middle of the morning on a bad wx day is kinda busy so never did figure out how that was pulled off. On a diff note was always impressed when flying on the wing of a Buff in rough air how far up and down the wing tips would flex!! Didn't seem possible a metal structure could do that for long.
