Subject: I am sticking by $12.00 for SRW

Mascoutah, Illinois
We had 1.2 inches of rain from May 1 until the second or third week of August. From the second or third week of August until the middle of November, we had around 20 inches of rain. Despite having the twenty inches of rain during this period, we have little if any subsoil moisture. I saw two wheat fields already worked under on Tuesday. If we are dry with 20 inches of rain since the second week of August, I cannot even fathom how dry it is elsewhere.

I still stick by $12.00 SRW by June 1, 2013. Corn target of $9.19. Soybean target of $19.00

This could be a much bigger mess in 2013 (on the supply side) than 2012 if we do not see any significant change in the weather pattern before spring seeding. I am not hoping for a mess, but it sure doesn't look or feel good at the moment unless you are a producer holding grain looking for a bigger prize than what the board is offering today.
