W Texas
Crop was planted into dust with no submoisture at all in western Oklahoma. Also, wheat was planted earlier than usual in hopes of having some pasture, as there is no forage left anywhere.

Many of the early planted fields are dead or dying and the forecast doesn't look good. Continued warm temperatures, breezy, and no precipitation.

That said, wheat has an amazing ability to recover. We get a few scattered rains in December through February and then excellent spring moisture, and this crop can still turn around on a dime. The chances of that happening are probably one in four, IMO.
