Boise City , OK | Prohay hit the nail on the head. In our area 600 gpm would grow 230-250 corn but it has to be 600gpm in August not just starting out the season at 600gpm. There are a few 60 - 40 leases around the area which are the same responsibilities as 1/3 and 2/3. There are a couple 50/50 that I know of too. Those the land owner own all irrigation equipment and pays half of crop inputs. The tenant services motors and sprinkler and repairs equipment up to $500 dollars and provides the the farming and harvesting. Usually 50 50 are all new irrigation equipment. | |
