Ohio | We had this issue not to long ago. Our 4850 puked its engine and spun 3 mains. 15k for a new engine or 5k trade in value without engine. We decided to put a new engine in it and run it a few more years. There was more stuff wrong with the engine than the 3 spun mains. Had we known it needed a new engine it would have never gone to the dealer. We would've put a new one in ourselves. But we figured they would figure out someway to not honor the warranty if something happened to it if we did the work. It had low oil pressure and we couldn't figure out why. That's why it went to the dealer in the first place. I'd fix it and run it a while longer and get something like a 4640 or 4840 to go along with it. | |
