Thanks, Tim. That is very interesting reading. I have always been interested in writings like that one.

There are many agriculturists here and in my contact list who have a feel for this history and wish to do our part to understand and evaluate soil to improve our practices during our stint here on earth.

I don't want to derail your discussion and perhaps this should be discussed in other threads but this is being looked at by some of our readers:

I was also sent a pdf entitled Idaho 2012 covering Rick Haney's work including the Volita soil health test.

I hope to assess my soils using some of these methods.
