topsoil redistribution = landscape restoration
Some modern farmers are dramatically improving the productivity of eroded hilltops and backslopes by moving sediment back up hill.
In the scientific literature, the term for this process is "landscape restoration".
The attached paragraphs from an article that I recently wrote may be of interest.
